Revel and Rouse
Cannabis is a lifestyle. It’s food & beverage, it’s health & wellness, it’s travel & hospitality—it couldn’t be a better fit for a lifestyle brand and strategy agency.
As the industry rapidly evolved from 2015-2018, Noise 13 had been working with more and more clients in the space, and in doing so came to find a truly empowered group of female entrepreneurs. Additionally, with recreational cannabis use legalized in January 2018, a totally new consumer set arrived on scene. We saw an opportunity at the cross-section of these two audiences and created Revel and Rouse, a cannabis lifestyle magazine targeted at female consumers, with a focus on education and culture.
With one goal of ours being empowering new consumers to make purchasing decisions, we also partnered with greenRush—an amazon-like platform that connects cannabis consumers with local dispensaries. In doing so we created one of the first online magazines that offered a full cannabis purchasing experience—beyond CBD products and accessories.
Role: I led this project from the ground up, and not just in design + strategy, but also in creating and maintaining all relationships with contributors. I also concepted and created all social content (with Christie Malvin as photographer), for which I have a separate portfolio post.
