LG Fashion on Facebook got a huge makeover. We wanted to make it more of a platform, rather than campaign-specific, as it had been. We made a much more dynamic home page, called “What’s New,” that pulls in the latest blog entries and twitter feed, has quiz and sweeps modules, a Trendspotting module for user-gen photos, and allows for user feedback via email. There is a new sweepstakes to enter and digital fashion quiz to take, which will help spread the word of LG Fashion in the social realm. See ya later, Eva and Victoria. You sure are pretty, but it’s time for a more relateable audience. Plus, our license ran out.
We recently created a multi-author fashion blog that integrates with the Facebook application in the second phase of LG Fashion. It just launched a few hours ago—already several of our bloggers have contributed. We signed on 8 medium- to well-known bloggers within the fashion community in hopes that they will have enough contrast to appeal to all our users (and enough of a following to bring them all in).
The design is simple and familiar—why reinvent the blog when it’s working so well? The latest post is featured on the “what’s new” masthead on facebook alongside an image of the auther. This way the content is always looking fresh and keeps users returning.
Here’s hoping.
